Jonathan is the Managing Director of UCan Play. He has enjoyed a long career in music education, working for two high schools and co-leading the largest PGCE course in the UK at Manchester Metropolitan University. Jonathan is your point of contact for sales enquiries and can advise you on the full range of products that UCan Play offers. Jonathan is also responsible for developing a range of consultancy and educational projects that UCan.tv undertakes with various partners. In addition to his work managing UCan Play, Jonathan is a published author and editor having written for Routledge, the Open University Press and Sage. He is also works closely with two music education hubs: he is Chair of Trustees for the Love Music Trust, the music education hub serving his home county of Cheshire East; he advises the Greater Manchester Music Hub as a member of their oversight and strategy board.
Jason is an active songwriter and producer, the creative director of UCanPlay.tv and a teacher at Egerton High School in Trafford, where he works with students with a range of emotional, social and behavioural difficulties. He has over 30 years experience managing and directing performance, film, exhibitions and educational projects. Jason is passionate about expression, media literacy, and curriculum innovation. Jason is developing the video streaming opportunities that The UCan Studios provides as well as supporting young people with his ‘Making in Performance’ ideologies.
Chris is UCan Play’s technical consultant and software designer. Chris advises on technical issues and has worked onsite with clients delivering our streaming solutions for live music performance which he helped develop. His work is illustrated in UCan Play’s live music broadcasts, and the range of software he produced for UCan Play includes Sound2Picture, Sound2Game and Hand2Hand.
Sam is currently managing a small team of people for UCan Play as co-ordinator on a National Heritage Lottery funded local history digital resource project . She also runs the Margaret Wilcox School of Speech and Drama delivering classes in Plumley.
